It’s hard to believe that Coats for Kids is just around the corner! One of our Rotary Club of Elkhorn’s biggest community programs is quickly approaching, and we still need participation from our club members to make it a success.
This program is about more than providing a warm coat. For many school-age children, having a new coat means being able to arrive at school warm and comfortable, enjoy outdoor activities, and feel cared for by their community. Your time and support can make a real difference in a child’s winter.
We have several volunteer opportunities available, including moving inventory, registration, and shopping assistance. Whether you can help for the full event or just give a little of your time, every helping hand makes an impact.
Coats for Kids will take place on Saturday, October 10th, and Saturday, November 14th, from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at Jackson Elementary School.
On September 30th, we had a great evening at Lauderdale Lakes Country Club! Cindy put together a fun “Get to Know Each Other” game, and let’s just say…we learned a few things about our fellow Rotarians that we may or may not have expected!
With good drinks, laughs, and great conversation, it was a fun way to relax and enjoy each other’s company outside of our usual Rotary meetings.
Let’s do more of this! After all, we should have a little fun together, too! We hope to seeYOUat future Rotary socials where we can gather and connect and maybe discover a few more Rotary surprises along the way!
