Weekly Update
   August 25, 2025

We're Building Community

Elkhorn Rotarians worked together with Habitat for Humanity on August 23, 2025 to dig out and set the basement window wells at their new home in Pell Lake. It was a beautiful day to make a difference in Walworth County!

Thanks to Kristin, Ward, Katie (& Marc), Jon N. (& Sue), and John H. (& Jean) for getting dirty for a good cause. A big thanks to Karen and Kathie for treating all the workers to a delicious catered lunch too! It was a great Saturday.
Weekly Meeting Recap:
EAHS CTE Programs

Principal (and fellow Rotarian) Dan Kiel led attendees on a guided showcase of the Career & Technical Education wing of Elkhorn Area High School to see the innovative classes being offered to area students in grades 9-12. Members toured the Woodworking/Construction classes, Machining, Welding, and Auto Body shops to learn about the massive popularity of these programs and career opportunities for students to fill the much-needed employment gaps in Wisconsin. The tour concluded with a stop at the new eSports lab, generously donated by area business, Palmer Hamilton.

 Other Updates:

Walworth County Fair Parking
THIS WEEK!

We're ready for the fair! Our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year is here! Please wear your Rotary swag, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes to park cars at 420 E. Court Street in Elkhorn. It's an easy and fun way to spend time outdoors helping out our club. Clink the link below to review your sign up or to snag a last-minute spot.
Help Elkhorn Kids Feel the Love This School Year!

Sixth Grade EAMS science teacher, Eryca Card, started a community outreach in 2022 for adults to write monthly anonymous notes of encouragement and support to a few students who could use some extra love throughout the school year. Kids experiencing challenges at home, bullying, loss, or who could just use a monthly boost are signed up for the program by their family to recognize there is an entire community who cares.

The program has gotten REALLY popular and now Eryca needs the Elkhorn Rotary's help to show the love to more kids! Can you write a monthly note, donate small items, offer a birthday card, or support the program financially? Please fill out the link below to receive more information.
