2026-27 Billing Information & Meal Reminders
With the rollout of the new ClubRunner system, it has taken us some time to figure out the revised billing software for the 2026-27 year. Apologies for the delay! Chris Clapper sent out the Q1 (July-September 2026) invoices last week - please let her know if you did not receive your invoice or have challenges with the new online billing system at elkhornrotarytreasurer@gmail.com. Checks can also mailed to the Rotary Club of Elkhorn, PO Box 915, Elkhorn, WI 53121. A few other reminders/updates:
Member dues were raised $5 beginning this quarter to $65 per member. This was necessary to cover increases the club received from Rotary International.
Lunches remain at $10 per week. Thanks, Annie's! Contact Chris if your invoice did not include the meal plan but you would like to be added. Hungry members not on the meal plan but who would like to eat at a weekly meeting are welcome to join the fun after dropping $10 cash/check into the Lunch Box - Businesses participating in the shared meal plan should also do so when multiple staff members are in attendance.
The new system no longer itemizes memberships and meals per members. If you are responsible for multiple members, the fees will be bulked together (i.e. $130 dues for two members, $240 for lunches, etc.).
Do you have an outstanding balance from the previous quarter? Please confirm that your account is up to date and pay any unpaid balances ASAP. Those who have more than two quarters of outstanding dues will be contacted shortly about a repayment plan.
Please pay bills by August 30, 2026.
Now that we have the new system figured out (fingers crossed), the Q2 invoices (October-December 2026) will be back on the regular schedule on October 1 to be due on October 31, 2026.
Folks have also asked if there was a club rule about meals for meeting guests. The general guideline is that if you bring along family members, work colleagues, and friends just wanting a delicious lunch, etc., you/they should drop $10 in the lunchbox. Our weekly speakers, professional Rotary partners, or any prospective Elkhorn Rotarian members (up to 3 meals) are covered within our club's operating budget. In short, use your best judgement and the 4-Way Test when deciding the great Shakespearean “to pay or not to pay” for your guests. 🙂

NoWhere Vans
On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, we got an in-depth look at local Elkhorn business NoWhere Vans, compliments of sales representative Carrie Dean. Rotarians got an in-depth look at a sample display model and hear all about this travel concept. From simple cots to full kitchenettes, the company can retrofit many styles of vehicle for all-weather travel across North America. Pricing varies from $80,000-$140,000 for full recreational vehicles.

WalCo Fair Parking
Rotary raises over $4,000 each year by parking cars near the Walworth County Fairgrounds from September 2-September 7, 2026! Sign-ups to volunteer for two-hour shifts at the Elkhorn Teen Center parking lot is now open. It's an easy and fun way to spend time outdoors helping out our club!
The anthem chosen by the Board of Directors in February 2000 is an arrangement of the march of the Egmont Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven (Op. 84).
This anthem is intended to be played on various occasions, especially at the beginning of official meetings: district assemblies, district conferences, all international meetings, to accompany the flag ceremony, and often at statutory meetings.
It gives them a solemn atmosphere.
There are 2 versions: a short one of 45 seconds and a long of 2 minutes, one or the other adapting perfectly to different circumstances.
As with the other anthems, the audience rises when it is played.
The national anthems of the personalities present at these various meetings can also be included with the Rotary International anthem.
