Rotarians Did A Great Job Serving (Beers) at Ribfest!
Club members came out in droves to support last week's Walworth County Fair Ribfest event. Cans were cracked open, laughs were had, and big money was raised for our club. Fundraising total coming soon!

Free TBI Care for Veterans & First Responders
At our second morning meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Medical College of Wisconsin representative Will Beiersdorf shared more information about the BRAVE program for US veterans and first responders suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs). Will encouraged everyone to spread the word about the free 12-month inpatient/outpatient program, which is funded through donations from the nonprofit Avalon Action Alliance. The cost of care is valued at $30,000 per person. CLICK HERE to donate to the program through Avalon, and/or call (414) 955-1040 to enroll in the program. Elkhorn VFW Post 6375 Commander Tim Gudge also stopped by to promote the VFWs new Red, White & Blue program to support the Wisconsin Veterans Service Office. Personal or business donor levels range from $500-$2,000 to support critical veteran services and assistance. 50% of funds return to the local post! THE ARGENTINIAN ROTARIANS HAVE LANDED!
This week, there are not one, but two, opportunities for us to console the Rotarians visiting from Argentina on their devastating World Cup final loss during their Rotary Friendship Exchange to Wisconsin. They will be visiting our club at this week's Wednesday regular lunch meeting at BABE MANN PARK from 11:45-1:00pm. Bring a chair if you have one and say hello to our new South American friends! They will be giving details about their country and how the Friendship Exchange program works.
There will also be an evening social open house at the Henderson's lake house at N7413 Country Club Drive, Elkhorn WI (on Lauderdale Lake near the golf course) from 5:00-8:00pm. Please bring a chair, a dish to pass (appetizer, side dish, dessert, etc.) and your drinks. Street parking, casual dress.
ROTARY SUPPORT IS SET FORE NEXT WEEK!
The Elkhorn Rotary Booster Club Golf Outing signups are going well. The big event is set for next Friday, July 31, 2026. We are still taking hole sponsors; please see below for flyer and contact Ted if you are able to golf or sponsor a hole for the event, which funds our club's three $1,000 scholarships to EAHS seniors.
Joining a Rotary Club also means entering the Rotary International community.
The change in scale is significant: a few dozen members on one side, more than a million friends in 200 countries on the other.
Our new members must be clearly informed of their new membership of a global network, beyond their own Club.
Indeed, openness to Clubs other than one’s own is an important strength available to Rotarians and it would be a shame to neglect it.
Each opportunity to discover other Clubs, during visits, interclub actions, or District meetings, is a personal enrichment to be put to good use.
The possibility, especially abroad, of visiting any Rotary-Club makes it possible to meet new friends, to participate in specific meetings and actions and to become aware of the internationality of Rotary.
