Our first 5th Wednesday Social Hour of 25/26 at Duesterbeck's Brewing Company was a great time to relax with friends. We got to meet Kayla's wonderful family, catch up on John and Mandy's upcoming wedding plans, and hear all about Art's latest RAGBRAI cycling adventure across Iowa! Thanks so much to everyone who came out for our after-hours event.

Introducing... The Lunch Box!
We are introducing a new honor system for lunches at our weekly meetings! If you are bringing a friend or are a non-luncher who wants to chow down at a weekly meeting, simply drop $10 in the lunch box to enjoy the delicious meal with the club. The box will be at the front table near the name badges. The club is trying to be as flexible as possible with this stress-free solution while still recouping meal costs. Thanks for your understanding with this new launch!
Non-members who are interested in joining the club can still enjoy up to three meals with our compliments before deciding.
Let's Help Build A Community! Rotary Habitat Team Build Scheduled for August 23
The Rotary Club of Elkhorn is answering the call for volunteers to assist the Habitat for Humanity in Walworth County! We're halfway there! We could use six more volunteers to help with the Pell Lake Home Build 9-4:00pm on August 23, 2025.
No construction experience is necessary - Just a caring heart and willingness to work! Spouses and families 16+ are welcome, and boxed lunches will be provided by the Club. We're about 2/3 full of volunteers! Rotary raises almost $4,000 each year by parking cars near the Walworth County Fairgrounds from August 27-September 1, 2025! Sign-ups to volunteer for two-hour shifts at the Elkhorn Teen Center parking lot is now open. It's an easy and fun way to spend time outdoors helping out our club!
Interact and Rotaract are effective gateways to Rotary, provided that active support is provided.
These programs allow young people to discover, from adolescence, the fundamental values of Rotary: service, commitment, ethics and international openness.
By developing their leadership skills and participating in concrete actions, young Interactors and then Rotaractors acquire valuable experience and a spirit of service that naturally predisposes them to join Rotary.
However, the transition to adulthood is often accompanied by professional constraints, mobility or personal priorities which can hinder this transition.
To strengthen this bridge, it is essential to create lasting links: sponsorships, intergenerational projects, regular invitations to Rotary club meetings.
By promoting continuity between these three stages of commitment, Rotary ensures that it passes on its heritage and renews its membership with members already steeped in its culture.
