We're Giving 12 Days of Smiles (and $$$) with the Raffle!
Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our members, the Elkhorn Rotary 12 Days of Christmas raffle has brought lots of money and smiles to the community... and over $8,000 to our club! Thanks to everyone who sold or purchased tickets to family and friends so we can continue our work in Elkhorn and beyond.

WEEKLY MEETING RECAP:
MiTek SVP Marc James
When our guest speaker from Kikkoman had to postpone at the last minute, it was Katie's husband, Marc, who jumped in to share the home builder construction results for 2025 and outlook for next year. Marc oversees $750M in software, steel, and manufacturing equipment sales for the housing industry for MiTek, Inc., which is a Berkshire Hathaway-owned company based in St. Louis, Missouri.
He shared that housing starts have leveled out in the US and cited higher interest rates, material costs, and a lack of labor as hindrances to the market. He also spoke about the renewed interest in single family home construction versus multifamily condo/rental units and the efficiency of modular building.

SAVETHEDATE! The Rotary Christmas Potluck Dinner will be Friday, January 9 at 6-9pm at the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce (203 E. Walworth Street). Members and spouses are welcome to attend. Mariann will be organizing a fun White Elephant gift exchange too!
The Walworth County Literacy Council is looking for volunteer tutors to assist with ESL and Citizenship classes. The commitment is 90 minutes once a week, at a time to be determined by you and the student. Training and materials provided by WCLC. Ask Elisabeth for more information!
Would you like to help out with this year's Community Christmas Meal? Last year, Rotary sponsored and volunteered on Christmas Day to bring meals and holiday cheer to our community. Elkhorn Rotary Community Christmas Concert Dec. 17th
ONLY 10 DAYS AWAY!The construction work at the Matheson Memorial Library isn't going to stop the Rotary from bringing some holiday cheer to the public! With the gracious support from Wedige Automotive, the Rotary will be hosting the Elkhorn Area High School choir and bell choir for a free lunchtime concert for the public at the Sprague Theatre at 15 W. Walworth Street.
The club will meet for lunch on Wednesday, December 17 downstairs at the VFW Hall at 16 S. Broad Street at 11:30am for lunch and a short meeting, then we'll walk over to the Sprague for our usual holiday concert from 12:30-1:15pm.
The Rotary Club of Vijayawada Midtown (India), founded in 1985 with 33 members, has experienced remarkable growth, reaching over 750 members in 2018, thus becoming the largest Rotary club in the world.
The key to this success lies in the concept of a “club within a club”, which allows members to form small groups based on common interests such as sports, music, and business.
These sub-clubs offer spaces for socializing and service, fostering personal connections.
Various initiatives, such as the Midtown Cricket Club and the Midtown Music Club, strengthen member engagement while supporting causes like polio eradication.
This model has not only transformed member interactions, but has also increased contributions to the Rotary Foundation.
By fostering engagement, Vijayawada Midtown demonstrates how shared passions can strengthen the Rotary community.
