Club members spent a soggy afternoon at Evergreen Golf Course to support the Elkhorn Rotary Booster Club golf outing on Friday, July 31, 2026. Despite the rain, 40 foursomes participated to raise money for Booster and Rotary scholarships.
A big thank you to all of our hole sponsors and golfers who braved the wet weather to help make the day successful, and to Ted Johnson for organizing our participation. See you again next year!
It Was Raining Donations for Rotary Sunday...
Brave Rotarians braved the downpour at a last-minute parking lot gig at the Walworth County Fairgrounds Antique Fair on Sunday, August 9, 2026 to raise big $$$ for the club. They managed to collect $2,310 for our community service projects before the downpour forced them back home. Soggy chairs, drippy signs, and happy hearts spent the rest of the day at home drying out.
A HUGE thanks to Jon A., Charles, Katie, John, Kathie, and Mariann for running between the raindrops for us!

Objective Veterans Smile
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, our own Josh Troxel and Jill Hummel invited Objective Veterans Smile founder Kyle Arneson to share information about his non-profit as well as their upcoming sweet corn fundraiser. Arneson is a Marine veteran who started the non-profit after learning that only 100% disabled veterans qualify for dental care through the VA program. Every $400 he collects covers a year's worth of dental care (cleanings, x-rays, checkups, pain care management) for a veteran. He already has several hundred vets enrolled in the program, with a waiting list to receive more intensive dental care.
On Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 12:00-5:00pm, Sierra Insurance & Off Wall Street Retirement Income Planning will be selling sweet corn to benefit Object Veterans Smile at 16 S. Broad Street in Elkhorn. $7.00 per dozen, cash or card accepted. Produce is grown locally and 100% of proceeds will be donated to the non-profit. Silent auction will be available too! Outbound Rotary exchange student Adam Serhan stopped by to thank the club for our endorsement and support before his 2026-27 school year in Taiwan.
The group unanimously approved a $500 donation to the United Way Fox Cities to assist with tornado relief efforts in central Wisconsin. Urgent items needed include batteries, solar lights, and flashlights.
SAVE THE DATE: The district will be hosting a Leadership Seminar on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 8:30-3:30pm at Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin. Both Rotarians and non-Rotarians are eligible to attend!

WalCo Fair Parking
Rotary raises over $4,000 each year by parking cars near the Walworth County Fairgrounds from September 2-September 7, 2026! Sign-ups to volunteer for two-hour shifts at the Elkhorn Teen Center parking lot is now open. It's an easy and fun way to spend time outdoors helping out our club!
ICC (Inter Country Committees) is a Rotary International–accredited service program that promotes international cooperation between Rotarians, in accordance with Rotary’s constitutional documents and Code of Policies.
Each ICC links two countries through matching national working committees composed of elected officers and district representatives.
These committees maintain regular communication, strengthen friendship and trust, and exchange cultural, professional, and project-related knowledge.
Acting as Rotary “embassies” within their own countries, ICCs facilitate collaboration rather than diplomacy.
Their primary mission is to develop, support, and coordinate international service projects that benefit communities in one or both partner countries.
ICCs also provide expertise in project planning, implementation, evaluation, and the sharing of technology, financial resources, and best practices.
They serve as a valuable resource for Rotary districts by encouraging international partnerships and helping projects succeed.
While ICCs play a proactive advisory and coordinating role, responsibility for district governance and decision-making remains with each District Governor and district leadership, in accordance with Rotary policies.
