A check for $1,100 was presented to Dana for their work in an African village where they are building a shelter. This money will enable them to put a roof on their structure which will have a double purpose as shelter and supply drinking water as the water will run down the roof and collect in a reservoir.  

John Henderson awarded four Rotarians with their Paul Harris Award.

Dawn Heath stepped up to fill in as our speaker today and talked about her work with “Join the Movement” to stop human trafficking. Dawn has been very busy speaking at Rotary Clubs throughout the state and at other organizations and conferences. She is going to do a podcast in Eau Claire, work with the airlines and FAA to do a program, and do hospitality training in Wisconsin. She has done over 130 presentations so far this year to get the word out. There is a book called, Who should I trust? that is geared for kids ages 2-12. One statistic she provided is that 95% of kids who are trafficked are done so by family members or people they trust.
