The Christmas Community Concert held at the Sprague Theatre on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 was a big success, where about 150 students and guests gathered together to celebrate the season. The Elkhorn Area High School Choirs and Bell Choir performed a medley of carols and seasonal tunes, led by directors Matthew Remus and Sarah Wuttke. Rotarians closed the event with the presentation of a $1,000 donation to the EAHS Music Department in appreciation for their participation.

A big thanks to the VFW Memorial Post 6375 for opening their doors for us to enjoy a nearby lunch meeting beforehand, and to the Lakeland Players for allowing us to host such a wonderful free community event in their beautiful venue.

• Cleo Hall gave an update on John and appreciated the club's best wishes for a speedy recovery. He is hopeful to leave the hospital in time for the holidays.
• Our thoughts go out to Jon Newman, who lost his mother, and to Tony Balestrieri on the passing of his wife, Mary. 
• SAVE THE DATE! The Rotary Christmas Potluck Dinner will be Friday, January 9 at 6-9pm at the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce (203 E. Walworth Street). Members and spouses are welcome to attend. • SAVE THE DATE: The Booster Club Golf Outing date has been set for Friday, July 31, 2026. Shotgun start begins at 12:30pm.

 Thursday's Community Christmas Meal still needs volunteer drivers and prep staff! Last year, Rotary sponsored and volunteered on Christmas Day to bring meals and holiday cheer to our community. This year, Sugar Creek Lutheran is funding the endeavor - but they're still looking for drivers and food preparers to help too! Sign ups are also now open for 2026 Meals on Wheels shifts. Our club has committed to assist Elkhorn's homebound residents with lunch and cheer; routes take about 60 minutes, and can either be done solo or with a buddy! Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our members, the Elkhorn Rotary 12 Days of Christmas raffle brought lots of money and smiles to the community... and $8,250 to our club! Thanks to everyone who sold or purchased tickets to family and friends so we can continue our work in Elkhorn and beyond.
