Julie Cotter – Stir It Up Fundraiser: Nov. 5th
Julie Cotter from VIP visited the club to share information about the upcoming fundraiser: Stir it Up. Almost $24,000 has been secured in sponsorship, with 19 Restaurants ready to participate as well. Lakeland Bakery and Brodie’s Beef are two new additions to the event. We continue to work on increasing sponsorship.
Elkhorn High School will have three musical groups performing that day. Westosha and Big Foot will also have musical groups performing. Brian went over the new gym set up for the event. Rotary members are encouraged to sign up for a volunteer shift on either Saturday, Nov 4th or Sunday, Nov 5th. Assistance is needed to set up, run the event, and clean up.
The VIP Newletter, post cards, and Facebook are the main means of advertising. Tickets are available at Advia, Franks Piggly Wiggly, from fellow Rotarians, as well as on-line.. The raffle committee is working to get silent auction items and will also be selling raffle tickets.
Julie conveyed her sincere thanks for everyone’s assistance with the fundraiser and event. Remember, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year for Rotary – all hands on deck, please.
